Jetzt mal was vom letzten Festival, im Sommer 2019. Patrick Watson spielte eine exklusive Show im Spiegelzelt, als Warm-up dafür, einen Tag zuvor in Amsterdam. In Haldern sollte es dann mit dem Chor Cantus Domus eine besondere Premiere für Deutschland werden. Er brachte Musiker und Techniker aus Montreal mit, um dieses Konzert mit entsprechendem Aufwand zu inszenieren. Hinter den Kulissen ging es hoch her, was man so als Besucher kaum wahrnahm. Proben in unserer Dorfturnhalle, Soundcheck am Morgen und umfangreiche Umbauten trieben die Spiegelzelt-Crew um Harry und Tanju ans Limit. Das sind immer diese Momente, wo man mir gerne den Hals umdrehen möchte. Sie alle haben an diesem Tag Außergewöhnliches geleistet und viele wurden Zeuge, eines wahnsinnig guten und mitreißenden Konzertes. Es klingt noch heute nach.
Aus diesem besonderen Anlass widmen wir dieses Lied „Here Comes The River“ von Patrick Watson, Harry und der Crew, für diesen unermüdlichen Einsatz und da sie ein Teil dieser besonderen Momente sind.

Now for something from the last festival, in summer 2019. Patrick Watson played an exclusive show in the Spiegeltent, and a day prior to that in Amsterdam, as a warm up. The Haldern show was a really special premiere for Germany, together with the choir Cantus Domus. He brought along musicians and technicians from Montreal to stage this concert with the appropriate effort. There was a lot going on behind the scenes, hardly noticed by the visitors. Rehearsals in our village gymnasium, sound check in the morning and extensive rebuilding work pushed the Spiegelzelt crew around Harry and Tanju to the limit. These are always those moments when people want to wring my neck. But they all did an extraordinary job that day and many would witness an incredible and thrilling concert later, which still resonates today.
On this special occasion, we dedicate this song “Here Comes The River” by Patrick Watson, to Harry and the crew, for their tireless effort and because they are part of these special moments.
