Josef „Jupp“ Beethofen

Jupp kannte Rebecca vom Feuerwehrball, nach jedem Tanz mußte er tief durchatmen, das Wort führen kommt wohl von fliegen, sie hatte ein paar PS zu viel, das war klar. Feuerwehrmann kann ein Beruf sein, Jupp ist aber Installateur und freiwilliger Brandmeister noch dazu, kümmert sich auch um das Festliche am Rande der Truppe. Dieses Gefüge ist ihm sehr recht, Spannung, Ernsthaftigkeit und gesellige Abende haben ein gutes Verhältnis. Vieles weiß man als erster und zu wissen ist wichtig in diesem Dorf, einiges reicht nicht, alles sollte es sein. Man kommt rum und versucht dabei nicht um zu kommen. Es wird immer gefährlicher, da alles schneller, groß und viel wird. Jupp ist eiserner Junggeselle, liebt das Tanzen, Wiener Schnitzel mit Jägersoße und einmal im Jahr, mit seinen alten Kumpanen Wilhelm und Bartus, eine Woche in den Bergen zu wandern. Es gibt Tage, da sticht er in See, ohne Ziel und Anspruch, er weiß wohl das morgen frei ist. Das Fahrrad kennt die Wege und Freunde vor allem den nach Haus. So geht das, solange es Berge, Rohrbrüche und Feuer gibt, freiwillig wird er das auch nicht ändern wollen. /StR

Josef “Jupp” Beethoven

Jupp knew Rebecca from the Firemen’s Ball, after each dance he had to take a deep breath, the word leading probably comes from flying, she had a few horsepower too much, that was clear. Firefighter can be a profession, but Jupp is a plumber and volunteer fire chief on top of that, he also takes care of the festivities on the side of the troupe. This structure suits him very well, tension, seriousness and social evenings have a good ratio. Many things you are the first to known and knowing is important in this village. Knowing some things is not enough, you need to know everything. One gets around trying not to perish in the process. It becomes more and more dangerous, because everything becomes faster, bigger and plentiful. Jupp is an iron bachelor, loves dancing, Wiener Schnitzel with hunter’s sauce and once a year, with his old cronies Wilhelm and Bartus, he goes hiking in the mountains for a week. There are days when he sets sail, without goal or claim, he knows that tomorrow is a day off. The bicycle knows the ways and his friends know the way home. So it goes, as long as there are mountains, burst pipes and fire, he will not want to change that voluntarily. /StR
