da-weg

You may know this: “Everybody is at home, but somehow nobody is really there”. With smartphones in our hands we are promenading through the house, third person laughter and squeaking echoes through rooms and corridors. Everybody is on the Internet, but also in the bathroom, on the stairwell and on the sofa. Fingers on the pulse of the epidemic in the company of friends. There soon will be a word for this status, perhaps this momentary absurdity can be explained as understandable and existential normality. We will read about it, hear about it, see it and share it. All this does something to our everyday life. We will need a rhythm and a fixed structure to be able to reconnect at the table, to level the level of information. To regain confidence, while moving between home and the others.
But not everyone enjoys the privilege of being “many” at home. If you have a garden, maybe even with football goals and a fireplace, you are already on the right track. Meanwhile, made-up paradises drop their glorious auras, the playing field of life shrinks to the size of a telephone box.
Let’s firmly believe in the quality of virtual sharing, sometimes you don’t have to know everything. The sun is shining, the cold wind comes from the east, no need to worry. If only our parents and grandparents could have experienced this. A “hot-cold“ (like the german band „Heisskalt”) situation, which (“Heisskalt“) we are now happy to officially confirm.
