Torte
Keiner stapelt Kalorien besser als der Konditor. Üppigkeit ist eine Haltung, der Preis vom Fleiss und in jeder guten Backstube Programm. Torten sind korrigierbare Beulen der Vernunft, das Weglassen konnte Picasso besser, da er aus dem Vollen schöpfen konnte, er beherrschte die Kunst des Ausdrucks. Der Konditor tupft die Schönheiten in unser Leben, gibt dem Ereignis Glanz und sorgt für spontane Entgleisungen. Trifft sie auf den Kaffee, dann wird getafelt. Schafft der Likör es, aus der stillen Ecke des Schrankes, auf den Tisch des Hauses, kann Unmögliches geschehen. So tummeln sich die guten Gründe des Lebens, an einem verregnetem Tag am Niederrhein. Was wäre der Sport ohne Torten oder Karneval ohne Aschermittwoch? /StR

Cake
No one is better at stacking calories than the confectioner. Opulence is an attitude, the price of diligence and program in every good bakery. Cakes are correctable bumps of reason, but Picasso was better at omitting them because he could draw from the full, he mastered the art of expression. The pastry chef dabs the beauties into our lives, gives glamour to the event and makes for spontaneous derailments. When cake meets coffee, the table is set. If the liqueur makes it to the table of the house, out of the quiet corner of the cupboard, the impossible can happen. This is how the good reasons of life romp around on a rainy day in the Lower Rhine area. What would sport be without cakes or carnival without Ash Wednesday? /StR
