Zeit
Zwei meiner Töchter haben gestern ihre Schlafzimmer gestrichen, heute wird renoviert und unsere Älteste ist noch mit ihrem Freund in Südamerika. Sie versuchen via Kanada zurück nach Europa zu gelangen. Das Wetter wäre gut, aber die Flugverbindungen hingegen schlechter.
Habe soeben mit meinem Freund Christoph, unserem Haus- und Hoffotografen, besprochen, eine Bushaltestelle in Haldern zu filmen, da dieser Ort als Synonym für „regionale“ Geduld am besten ins Bild passt – und wir alle dort vermeintlich schon viel Zeit verschlissen haben, was vielleicht gar nicht so ganz richtig ist. Bushaltestellen sind nicht selten die Orte der kleinen Andacht im Alltagsdurcheinander, Orte der Beobachtung. Hier wartet der Schüler, die Hoffnung und manchmal auch die große weite Welt. Was denkt der Ökonom über das Warten oder wieviele Patente und Lieder nahmen hier ihren Ursprung? Was brachte die Zeit hier zur Welt? DIE ZEIT ist erst der dritte Anlauf zur Information, vorher wurden die Überschriften bei ntv und der FAZ überflogen, wenn es tiefer gehen soll, wird es dann dort verschlungen. Zurück zur Haltestelle, zurück zum Hier und Jetzt. Das Video ist Geschichte und das Motiv bleibt bestehen. Da wir ja Zeit haben, werden wir unsere neuen Festival Bestätigungen, Stück für Stück, hier in unserem Tagebuch veröffentlichen. Alles zu seiner Zeit – und Warten stimuliert, es kann und darf was. Bleibt geduldig und gesund, bis morgen.

Time
Two of my daughters painted their bedrooms yesterday, today they are renovating and our eldest is still in South America with her boyfriend. They are trying to get back to Europe via Canada, the weather looks good, but the flight connections are not
Have just discussed with my friend Christoph, our home and yard photographer, to film a bus stop in Haldern, as this place fits best into the picture as a synonym for “regional” patience – and all of us have supposedly spent a lot of time there, which perhaps is not really true.
Bus stops are not seldom the places of small devotions in the midst of our everyday confusion, places of observation. It is where the student is waiting, and the hope and sometimes also the big wide world. What does the economist think about waiting? Or how many patents and songs originated here? What gave birth to time here? DIE ZEIT is only the third attempt to get news, before that, the headlines on NTV and the FAZ were browsed, but to dig deeper, information will be devoured there. Back to the bus stop, back to the here and now.
